We used KarCompare's Cab Comparison tool to analyze fares across 50 of the most popular routes in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Lucknow.

Overall Winner: Rapido (for bikes & autos)

Rapido is consistently 30-50% cheaper than Uber/Ola for short rides (under 5 km). For auto rides, Rapido undercuts Ola Auto by 15-25% in most cities.

For Sedans: Uber vs Ola

It's a close race. Uber Go is cheaper in Delhi (+3%), Mumbai (+5%), and Hyderabad (+2%). Ola Mini wins in Bangalore (+4%), Chennai (+3%), and Pune (+2%). The difference is usually ₹10-₹30 per ride.

Surge Pricing Comparison

During peak hours (8-10 AM, 6-8 PM), Uber's surge multiplier tends to be higher (1.5-2.5x) while Ola caps at 1.5-2x in most cities. Rapido rarely applies surge for bike rides.

Airport Transfers

For airport rides, Uber Premium and Ola Prime offer similar pricing. However, both are 40-60% more expensive than airport prepaid taxi counters in most cities.
